Medical Assistant
Renal Associates of West Michigan, P.C., a leader in providing excellent renal healthcare in West Michigan, is looking for a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant. The right person, will be enthusiastic/motivated, and patient orientated who wants to make a difference with our patients. Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (no weekends/holidays). Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
List of Responsibilities/Duties:
- Reviews the chart of scheduled patients prior to the appointment to ensure all tests are completed and the information is in the patient’s medical record.
- Initiates communication with patients on completing pre-appointment requirements.
- Rooms patients, collecting patient history, chief complaint and vitals.
- Clerical responsibilities as assigned including retrieving patient hospital notes, referral information, patient demographics.
- Gathers and communicates medical information as directed by the physician/organization.
- Accurately records and reviews medications lists
- Administers appropriate immunizations and injections utilizing MCIR.
- Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with supplies. Also, cleans exam rooms after use.
- Participates in the quality/performance initiatives of the office.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be dependable, motivated and a team player. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and have the ability to work cooperatively with others. Also, must be able to stand on feet for long period of time and handle multiple interruptions.
